SUMMARY:  A U.S. diplomat (Jon Hamm, Baby Driver, “Mad Men”) flees Lebanon in 1972 after a tragic incident. Ten years later, he is called back to war-torn Beirut by a CIA operative (Rosamund Pike, Gone Girl, 7 Days in Entebbe) to negotiate for the life of a friend he left behind.
Written by Tony Gilroy (The Bourne Trilogy) and directed by Brad Anderson (Transsiberian, The Machinist), Beirut joins the tradition of politically savvy, smart international thrillers like Tinker Taylor Soldier Spy, The Year of Living Dangerously, The Debt and Eye in the Sky.
