Nancy Riker shared information regarding the Rotary Foundation and the efforts to increase the contributions of the Club members.

invited all to continue with the duck sales as race is only two weeks away. He invited members to form teams, and as teams compete to increase duck sales, the winning team will get a prize - Two tickets to a Washington Nationals game.

The guest speaker was introduced - Tom Prichard - He is the founding Executive Director of Sudan Sunrise and is a priest in the Episcopal/Anglican church. He worked for 20 years with the South American Missionary Society (SAMS) of the Episcopal Church, serving 15 years as Executive Director. At SAMS, he oversaw the restructuring and growth of the organization and the development of a wide range of relief, health, community development and education projects in Latin America and Spain. In 2003, he became mission pastor at Christ Church (Anglican) in Overland Park, KS. In 2004, he facilitated the efforts of Sudanese Christians to get aid to their former enemies, the Muslims of Darfur, which spurred him to found Sudan Sunrise. Tom was a semi-finalist in the Volvo for Life Awards in 2005 and 2006, and is included in the book, "Being the Difference: True Stories of Ordinary People Doing Extraordinary Things to Change the World," by DariusGraham.

His presentation detailed/described extensive efforts working in reconciliation of remote populations of war torn Sudan. The effort of local populations committed to work with opponents to move forward, learn and develop their towns.The guest speaker was introduced, Mr. Scott Love, Scott Love is a high stakes headhunter for international law firms and a “sports agent” for partner-level attorneys. Scott also speaks professionally at business and association conferences on leadership and sales topics.  He is the author of “Why They Follow: How to Lead with Positive Influence,” and is also a professional watercolor artist, semi-professional poker player, and a graduate of the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.  He lives in Arlington, Virginia, with his wife, two children, and a puppy named Ruby. 
Following an engaging question and answer session, President Abe Helal presented the tree certificate to the speaker.
Kenny Barnes attended the meeting he was greeted by all members as his health has improved and was been able to attend the meeting.
President Abe Helal adjourned the weekly meeting with final remarks at 1:30p.m.
