Photographer and Founder, Too Young To Wed

Stephanie Sinclair is an internationally acclaimed photographer and tireless humanitarian. Recipient of numerous awards including the CARE International Award for Humanitarian Reportage, the Overseas Press Club’s Olivier Rebbot Award, a Pulitzer Prize, two Visa D’Ors, three World Press Photo awards and the Anja Niedringhaus award for courage in photojournalism, she has worked for the Chicago Tribune and is a regular contributor to National Geographic and The New York Times Magazine. 

Stephanie is known for gaining unique access to the most sensitive gender and human rights issues around the world. She has documented the defining conflicts of the past decade with a fearless persistence and has also helped shape policy debates, especially as pertains to child marriage. Her organization Too Young To Wed was featured in the June edition of the Rotarian Magazine. 

Early this year Stephanie brought two young women who had been captured by Boko Haram to Washington to meet with members of congress to maintain the pressure to ensure the release of all the girls still held in captivity. 

Last year Stephanie was one of the keynote speakers at the inaugural DC World Press Photo Exhibition.
