John Hewko is the General Secretary of Rotary International.  He is going to ride his bicycle 111 miles to end polio and is hoping people will make contributions in his name.

Dear fellow Rotarians:

On November 17, Marga and I will be riding 111 miles in the El Tour de Tucson Ride where we hope to raise $111,000 for polio eradication as a tribute to all of the Rotarians worldwide who have helped push polio to the brink of eradication. But we’ll need your help to do it.  A donation of any size – big or small- would be appreciated.

Between now and then, while I’m busy training for the event, I invite you to visit our main website – rotary.org -- by logging into Membership Access here, which will give you the option to contribute to GS Hewko – Ride to End Polio.  More good news: your contribution is eligible for Paul Harris Fellow recognition, and will be credited to your club and district.

As you may know, cycling is one of my passions, and it will be especially rewarding for me to be doing something I so enjoy in support of a goal all of us in Rotary are so committed to: a polio-free world.

Together, let’s End Polio Now.
Sincerely,
John Hewko
