Thank you to the 30 volunteers who came out to help us get Stanton Elementary ready for another school year!

A total of 30 Rotarians, family members and Rotaractors met at Stanton Elementary last Saturday to assist the staff in preparing for the first day of school. This was the third year that Rotary has volunteered at Stanton for the Clean Up day.  Additionally, our presence tutoring during the school year and during the Dictionary project has made Rotary a known entity on the Stanton campus.

Fortified with an ample supply of coffee, doughnuts and OJ, the Rotary/Rotaract volunteers were easy to spot as they were all wearing t-shirts identifying their affiliation.  We were the largest volunteer group at Stanton by a large margin and 100% attendance speaks to the enthusiasm of the Rotary volunteers.  Volunteers were involved in gardening, painting, organizing the library and general cleaning and set up of the classrooms.

Rotary was well represented by the following volunteers- Stefan Alber, Gladys Antezana, Lisa Cohen, Howard Davis, Shaun English, Andrea Ghiaroni, Jennifer Hara, Abe Helal, Lynn Holec, Lenore Jacobs, Ausra Kaminskas, Irene Koerner, Christa McClure, Don Messer, Helen Moore, Nancy Riker, Peg Schoen, Monica Smith, Jessica Stewart, Sharon Taylor and Bill Watts.  Special thanks to Peg and Jessica for making this a family event and bringing along their husbands, Scott and Adam.  Thank you all for representing Rotary at this event!
